Holy superheroes, Batman!
Brady has official joined Carson's formerly exclusive "I AM A SUPERHERO" club. It's super cute to see them save the world. ;)

It's Just Lunch
We hit the local pizza joint yesterday for lunch. Carson wasn't feeling well, so we skipped our usual mid-morning swim lesson. By the time 11:30a rolled around, we needed a break from the house. P.I.Z.Z.A. is always a no brainer choice for the boys. Brady might have had on his pjs, Carson in day old shorts and me in a sleep tank and sweats, but who cares. We were paying customers!

Memorial Day
Home Run
Carson had his first tball game! He seriously is quite the slugger. And while it did take him a bit to get in to "fielding the ball," he was chasing down grounders by the second inning. We actually had to yell, "You're on the same team!" when he pushed Mary over a few times grabbing for the ball in the infield.
Gotta love training ball!

TBall Practice
Fish
Carson and Brady have been taking swim lessons for about 3 months now, and while I can't yet say that they are independent swimmers, I can share that they are super comfortable in the water. Carson is a bit more apprehensive than Brady when it comes to going under, but he's trying. We have made it routine to eat out after every lesson. I text this particular post swim lesson lunch picture to my mom, to which she responded, "You have a fun life!"
I sure do! (And sorry, little men, for making you smile in to the sun!)

Bounce U Birthday Party
It's the time of year for birthday party overload! Nearly all of Carson's class is heading to kindergarten in the fall, and thus most have turned 5 this spring. Our latest weekend party adventure was at Bounce U. (Imagine our Santa bounce house on crack.) The kid was a tired, sweaty mess by the time the cake was served!

Mother's Day
I had a fantastic day on Sunday. It started with a dog pile of snuggles in my bed with my boys followed by a hand delivered cup of Joe from Carson. We snuck in blueberry muffins before heading to Boog and Ashley's house for brunch with the Ross crew. We invaded Boog's subdivision playground for a good hour of laughing, racing, swinging, sliding and dancing around with Luke, Laura, Abby and the rest of the family. We made a slight detour to McDonald's for some mid-afternoon nuggets and ice cream before heading home for naps. We finished off the day with Jimmy John's (Glamorous, I know, but I haven't had JJ's since college!!!) and candy & wine shopping at Schnucks. (You know you get a 10% discount when you buy six bottles, right?!) My heart, new wine cabinet and sweet tooth were satisfied. I am so blessed to have such loving, ornery, smart, considerate, happy boys in my life. (You're included in that, Mr. Ross!)
What a happy Mother's Day!?!?

Snakes alive!
We came home from a wonderful Mother's Day brunch to find a giant snake in our landscaping. The slithering sicko was over 7 feet long! After a very tense 15 minutes of planning and executing his "defeat," Nate managed to find him a "new home." This is how we explained it to the boys, anyway. Carson said, "I sure hope his new home isn't in Heaven, because he'd scare God, don't you think?"
