Boo!

Halloween 2012 was nothing short of spooktacular! Nate and I both took the day off for family fun at home before we met up with Gma & Gpa, Creeper's clan, the Bransons and the Downeys at Boog and Ashley's house.

Our little pirate and Batman were in full force once the treating began. Carson literally ran from one house to the next in search of candy. He told a joke at a few of the houses:

CER: Knock knock.
House: Who's there?
CER: Don't cry it's only a joke!

*Umm, you forgot the set up, Buddy!

Brady on the other hand, hung out with cousins in a wagon and watched Bubble Guppies on a Leap Frog. He would get out of the wagon every now and then, but only to replentish the candy he stashed in his lap and munched on through out the night.

After what seemed like a ba-zillion houses visited by both kiddos and parents, we made it back to Uncle Boog and Aunt Ashley's house in time for a few more Mic Ultras, Capri Sun and milk cups, a heat up in front of the fire pit and homemade sweets. It was a HELLoween of a good time!

Pumpkin Patch

We met the Griffithes at Eckert's a few weeks ago for pumpkin heaving and apple picking. What fun?!

Carson's 4th Birthday

We spend a lot of time at the Ross House pretending we are super heroes, so what better way to celebrate Carson's 4th birthday than with Batman. Carson had two parties this year - one at school and one with family. Both included Batman themed cupcakes, decorations and party favors. See for yourself!

Carillon Beach 2012

We spent a week in Florida in August. This year, we decided to throw the boys in the car around 8p for 12 hours of "night driving." The trip down went well! Papa Mo and Baba met us at the condo for 7 days of fun in the sun. The highlights of the week included shell contests amongst the adults, family-style meals every night, walks on the beach, a day trip to Destin, an evening at Rosemary Beach and pool time with the boys. We can't wait for next year!

Field Trip (literally!)

We hit the farm again this fall to check out Papa Mo's handy work in the fields, or as Carson says, "Let's check out what Papa Mo mowed down."

While the cat(s) is away...

...the mice will play! Nate and I traveled to Lansing in October for Uncle Boog and Aunt Ashley's wedding. Papa Mo and Baba were gracious enough (There was no arm pulling needed!) to stay with the boys. I'm pretty sure that both grandparents where thoroughly exhausted when we returned. Thankfully, our neighbors' kids helped entertain the boys. (Thank you, "on the hill" crew! :)

Fall Fun

The boys are finally taking full advantage of their swing set. It doubles as a pirate ship, an airplane, a fortress, an apartment and a bus throughout the day. Luckily, I fit in all its cool crevices, too!

Farm Flip Fun

We visited Papa Mo & Baba's in the spring. As usual, the boys spent more time outside than in. (Any takers on this blog's title? It's one of Carson's favorite iPad memory games. :)

Brady's 2nd Birthday

Better late than never, right? We had a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse themed birthday party for Brady this year. He's not nearly as obsessed with Mickey as he was in June, though his multiple stuffed Mickeys are still never out of his reach.

Back on the Saddle

We're back! After months of not blogging, I've decided to get back to it. The memories we are making are simply too precious to remaining just that, memories. Stay tuned!

Mom's (and Dad's!) Day Out

Nate and I attended the Justice for All Ball last month. We mentioned to Carson that it was a "black tie event," so when my mom asked him what Mommy and Daddy were going to do at their black tie event he said, "Rub cake on each other's face!"

Close enough! :)
