Christmas Prep

It's our tradition, like most Americans have,I suppose - Christmas "barfs" (Thank you Mandi Folks for the throw up analogy!) on our house just after Thanksgiving. It's fun, actually. We put up the tree, listen to Christmas music, bust out the Original Christmas Classics videos the Carters gave the boys, drink hot chocolate and act merry.

Leftovers

A turkey day pic Nate snapped before we headed to his parents' house on Thursday.

Our Trip to the Arch

Black Friday - we don't participate. Outside of the stellar people watching that would ensue (Carrie, any good stories to share?!), it isn't worth it, in my opinion. Why do I want to score 10 semi-crappy bath towels for $10 from some chain when I could go to TJMaxx any given day and buy a much softer version, in my color of choice and nearly as cheap as what's being sold today?

Instead, we decided to go on an adventure. We visited the Gateway Arch grounds this AM, road the slightly claustrophobic pod via the Journey to the Top, toured the Museum of Westward Expansion, dropped by PwC so the boys could check out my office and filled our bellies at Amighetti's on The Hill. (Their blackberry gelato is to die for!) What fun, right?!

Happy Black Friday you bargain-seeking crazies. I'll take our version any day of the week!

"I want d'ert."

After Brady finishes (or not) his meal, he asks for dessert, though it comes out sounding like "dirt!"

"Mommy, I finished. I want d'ert, peez."

It's the cutest. : )

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for these two little turkeys. (They are gearing up for the Macy's Day Parade!)

A Day in the Park (aka Gma & Gpa's House)

We had a great Saturday! To start, Gma met us for breakfast at Sunrise Cafe, our new fav. We then followed Gma home and spent time riding horses, swinging on the swing set and throwing rocks in the pond. While Brady and I napped, Nate and Gpa took a horse back ride and Carson ran errands with Gma. After dinner, and having left the house at 8 AM, we made it home in time for baths. Who needs to leave the area for a getaway when you can do all the above at Gma & Gpa's house?!

Wacky Wednesday

Today we:
built a fort
watched Disney Jr.
played outside
climbed on counters
raced cars
baked cookies
read Pete the Cat books
slept like babies during nap time

WHAT A GREAT DAY!

Carson's 4 Year Stats

Carson is in the 95th percentile for both height and weight. He's 43.8 inches tall and weighs 50 pounds (as of 11.13.12).

Birthday Blitz

Papa Mo & Baba spent a few days at our house while I was at Mizzou for work. It just so happened that their visit coincided with their upcoming birthdays, so we decided to celebrate early. Carson helped decorate a mini-cake and cupcakes. There is something so precious about the sheer excitement kids experience with the "Happy Birthday" jingle and a few candles!

Pete the Cat

Carson's class takes turns "hosting" Pete the Cat on weekends, and this weekend was our turn. Pete had fun playing outside, going to church, watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates with the boys and coloring with Dad.
