Carson-isms

We have a lot of hunters in our area, and while Nate is not one of them, Nate's brother are avid hunters, so Carson hears stories about "chasing deer" frequently. He asked us recently, "Guys, do deer cry when they get shot." I told him that I thought they probably do cry when they get shot. :(

Last night I was blowing on Carson's face and tickling him while putting on his pjs. He looked at me and said, "Mom, don't blow on me; I'm not food." I said, "What do you mean you aren't food?" His reply, "I'm not hot, so don't blow on me." HA!

When Nate was getting the boys lunch this past weekend, he put Carson's cup on the counter out of Carson's reach. Carson said to him, "Dad, did you do that on purpose? If so, that's not nice." How does he already know how to use the phrase "on purpose?"

Last Friday, Brady and Carson and I were playing on the floor with cars. Brady kept picking the cars up off the floor and running away with them, laughing hysterically while doing so. Carson looked at me and said, "He's driving me nuts!" I couldn't help but smile.

Carson was acting up last night, so I told him he needed to act like a big boy if he wanted to go to Bread Co for dinner. He was quiet for a while and then said to me, "Mom, I'm not mad at you anymore for telling me to act like a big boy. I'll let you go to Bread Co with me." Well then...I guess he's in charge, huh?!
