NOGGIN

In an effort to help my kid "learn," I have updated our dishNetwork package and thus added NOGGIN (and BRAVO - Yeah!) to our channel repertoire. I still have no clue what Yo Gabba Gabba! is, or how the heck to pronounce Ni Hao, Kai-Lan. Carson and I will learn together, I guess....

(Other Mommas - I seriously am clueless when it comes to Kid-TV. Any program suggestions?)

(For the record, that is Nate's Skittles wrapper!)

Why do all kids love to play with empty wrappers?!? Macie was walking around with some sort of wrapper all afternoon today.

We've got a little TV in our kitchen that is on in the morning when we're getting ready for work. It's on Noggin all the time. Can't go wrong with it! But the Disney channel is good, too...

Hey Girl! Gosh that baby is so cute.

Around here we loved Elmo at that age. Shows that I let my kids watch and know they are "safe" (in that characters are all nice to each other and the focus is more like "Let's go to the firestation" vs. "Let's all fight and cry and then learn at the end not to do that" which is fine at Isabelle's age, but not for the very young ones) Jay Jay the Jet Airplane, Dragon Tales, any Barbie Princess movie (okay, that won't work for you, but they are very cute!), Veggie Tales, Clifford, Between the Lions, Super Why, WordWorld... Actually just about everything on PBS I like. The kids love Caillou, but sometimes he pitches a fit and cries and seriously, I just can't stand it in real life let alone as TV entertainment! (Bryan doesn't like Animalia, but I've never seen it.)

Hope that helps!

LOVE the chair! I actually wish Gunnar had a green one now! You learned a lot while being here...NOGGIN is the best! We love it. But, I have to strategically scan between Nick in the early morning, NickJr in the late morning and then Noggin the rest of the day to get our dose of the Backyardigans (Gunnar's absolute favorite...he had a Backyardigans 2nd birthday party), Dora and Diego. Dora and Diego are the best for helping kids talk. A speech therapist friend told me about that for Gunnar, and it really does work!

What happened to the normal cartoons like the Smurfs or The Letter People?

Hey Trish!
Noggin is great...Colin is actually having a Yo Gabba Gabba birthday party (it is his favorite show) on Nov. 14th - invite to come. Bit of knowledge, DJ Lance Rock is from STL.
I love checking your blog and seeing how big Carson is getting! He is adorable...
